Dimitrie Marinescu

Dimitrie N. Marinescu (1882–1916) - typographer, socialist, anti-militarist, killed in action. A street in Bucharest is named Dimitrie Marinescu in his honour.
Dimitrie Marinescu was a founder and General Secretary of the first Social Democratic Party of Romania in 1910.
Marinescu wrote several books but only 2 were published. He translated and published in 1915 the Wilhelm Lamszus book from 1912 "The human slaughterhouse. Images of the coming war". Next year he died in war at age 34.
A biographical book for Marinescu's life "Evocari - Dimitrie Marinescu" was written by Constantin Pirvulescu and Georgeta Tudoran, and published at Editura Politica, Bucharest, 1971
